About Basemix
Basemix is developed by Rory Reid in Hull, UK. I am a software developer by trade and have kept rats as pets since 2018. My wife and I run Twin Squeaks rattery and we like to be active in the rat community, including attending and entering our rats in shows.
Basemix was born out of wanting to understand rat breeding better, and wanting to deliver a much more tailored experience than you could get with any off-the-shelf animal breeding solution today. It is entirely a passion project built in my free time and makes no money.
Basemix is still very immature, and doesn't look great. I am working hard on trying to get a solid chunk of functionality in, and a stable enough base that people can actively start to trust it with their data and switch over from existing reliable systems today. I'm always keen to gather and react to feedback, as I cannot build a halfway-useful app in a vacuum.
